Nuestra Causa: Rooted in the Mission

Born in San Francisco's Mission District in 2023, Nuestra Causa is a dedicated collective of organizers, healers, and facilitators united by a shared purpose: to ignite empowerment through education and action.

We help organize strategic community-led initiatives, fueling movements that uplift marginalized workers, ensure food security for the most vulnerable, foster transformative growth for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated men, and champion self-determination in underserved communities.

Nurtured by collaborative relationships with impactful organizations like the Mentoring Men's Movement and the Compadres Network, Nuestra Causa has grown into a cornerstone of support and growth for many men predominately with monolingual Spanish speakers.

We stand today offering essential resources and pathways for development to individuals impacted by the system, as well as those who have not. Our strength lies in our group therapy approaches and the powerful peer-to-peer learning that flourishes within our Men's Circles.

At the heart of Nuestra Causa lies a deep commitment to the well-being of our community. Our food program, Sembrando Esperanza (Sowing Hope), embodies this commitment by providing vital nourishment to over 400 individuals and families in San Francisco's Mission District each month.
